As Centre Manager I am
pleased to introduce you to the principals of the
Katikati Health Centre.
Dr Jeff Friis, Dr Tessa Turnbull, Dr Mike
Wahlers and Mr John Allen
It is these people who
had the foresight to extend the medical services, knowing that the Bay of Plenty and
more importantly the Western Bay region through to
Katikati and beyond, as having one of the fastest population
growths of the country.
From small beginnings 27
years ago Katikati Health Centre and its principals soon gained the
reputation for providing essential medical services and was soon
tasked to provide extended health solutions to the
greater population of the Katikati area.
Their foresight to look to
the future to provide a health service for one of the
fastest growing areas in the country has proved a
cornerstone in health services to towns that are on the
periphery of major cities such as Tauranga.
